The Marlboro-Nanto Youth Exchange Program was created in 1991 by the Marlboro Township (www.marlboro-nj.gov) and Nanto City, Japan. The intent of the program is to appreciate cultural differences and foster a sense of global understanding among the students and their families. The Marlboro-Nanto Youth Exchange Program is a non-profit organization that relies primarily on community fundraising.
Over 200 Japanese students have been welcomed into the homes of nearly 100 Marlboro host families.
Host children participate in fundraising activities and represent the program at various events both before and after hosting the Japanese students.
