What/How To Recycle
Please refer to:
‘2012 TOWNSHIP RECYCLING CALENDAR’
AND THIS WEB SITE FOR ALL SCHEDULING.
The Solid Waste/Recycling Bureau recycles a number of assorted used goods. Use this page to find out how to recycle newspapers, metal food and beverage containers, glass food and beverage containers, and plastic beverage & laundry detergent containers .
All recycled containers should be rinsed and placed together (co-mingled) in a rigid container (not a corrugated box and not a paper or plastic bag). Do not line your container with a plastic bag. You do not have to remove labels. Plastic and metal containers may be crushed.
Your garbage contractor will not pick up garbage containing recyclables because such materials are not accepted at the County Landfill. Anyone generating construction or demolition debris is required to specify the name of the hauler picking up each material and the market to which it will be brought at the time that a Building Permit Application is made. Residents who fail to cooperate may face fines for violating recycling or litter laws.
