Dear Marlboro Business Owner:
The Marlboro Township Economic Development Committee (EDC) thanks you for making our kick-off meeting for the Shop Marlboro! marketing campaign a huge success last month. Mayor Hornik opened the meeting, which was attended by more than 100 business owners in Town, and reinforced the Township’s and EDC’s commitment to increasing your sales revenues and the number of new customers/clients that visit your business.
As you know, the EDC believes that there is a correlation between an increase in spending for local goods and services and a reduction in residential property taxes. Therefore, between now and May 21, 2011 when Shop Marlboro! launches, the EDC and the Township will continue to create “buzz” about the launch. Through the use of many different mediums, we will re-enforce to our Town’s 40,000+ residents (over 15,000 households) the importance of supporting local commerce by purchasing goods and services from YOU, rather than by exporting their purchasing dollars to businesses located in other Towns.
