PUBLIC NOTICE
February 28, 2008
Marlboro Township is participating with Monmouth County and many other Municipalities within the County in the Monmouth County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Planning Project. The purpose of this project is to determine those natural hazards that pose the greatest threat to public health and safety and to identify ways to reduce the threat posed by those hazards in the future. The result of this project will be a plan that the Township will recognize and endorse to assist with tracking and managing future mitigation projects, as well as make the Township eligible for various Grants to fund those projects.
Detailed information is available on the Monmouth County website at www.co.monmouth.nj.us and click on the link for “Emergency Management” in the “Department” drop-down menu. There is also a public survey at this site that any resident may access and provide information and comments regarding the project or a particular hazard you may have dealt with.
