Local Assistance Board

The Local Assistance Board consists of five members who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Township Council and who serve without compensation.  The term of one member of the Local Assistance Board is for one year and that member may be appointed from the membership of the Township Council.  The term of the other members of the Local Assistance Board is for four years.  Each January the Local Assistance Board holds an organizational meeting and chooses a Chairperson and Secretary from its members.
