Dear resident,

Due to the late winter storm and snow covered ground, the Marlboro Office of Emergency Management (OEM) halted curbside brush pick-up.  This allowed for more complete snow plowing as well as to prevent flooding as the snow melted.  In order to meet the needs of our residents, the Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced the following adjustments to the curbside lawn debris collection schedules.

The brush collection for zones 6 & 7 will be as scheduled on March 27.  April, originally a leaf collection, is now a BRUSH ONLY pickup (there will be no leaf pickup in April):

BRUSH ONLY PICKUP

April 3

Zones 3 & 5

April 10

Zones 2 & 4

April 17

Zones 1 & 8

April 24

Zones 6 & 7

We remind you that the brush collection regulations as outlined in the recycling calendar must still be followed.  Brush and leaves may not be commingled, brush diameter may not exceed four (4) inches and the total collection amount may not be more than 10 cubic yards or 50 pounds in weight.  Fallen trees should be removed by your tree removal contractor or brought to the recycling center and not placed curbside.  To maintain safety for pedestrians and bicyclists and to avoid flooding and blockages of storm water, please do not place debris in the roadway more than one week prior to your scheduled pickup date.  The complete guidelines for collection may be found in the recycling calendar or HERE.

Leaf pickup will be held in May as scheduled in the Recycling Calendar.  Bulk Pick-up (spring cleanup) will begin at the end of April by zone as per the recycling calendar. We remind you that brush and leaves are accepted at the Township Recycling Center throughout the year, free of charge, with no permit. The hours of the Recycling Center are Monday and Wednesday 8:00-1:30 and Saturday 8:00-4:00.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep Marlboro safe and clean.  For further information, please call 732 536-0188.
