Re: Weekend Storm Update #2

Dear Resident,

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for our area beginning this afternoon and extending through Saturday, October 30 at 2:00 AM.  Gusts of up to 50 MPH are possible.

For the safety of your family and neighbors, please secure or store any loose items such as garbage cans, flower pots, lawn ornaments, Halloween decorations, etc. as they can become dangerous projectiles under these conditions.

Also, the already saturated ground and additional rainfall combined with high winds can lead to downed trees and power lines and outages can occur.  Please ensure all electronics remain fully charged and that flashlights have fresh batteries. Should you experience an outage, report to JCP&L at 888-544-4877 888-LIGHTSS) on line at https://www.firstenergycorp.com/outages_help/Report_Power_Outages.html

We remind you to consider all downed wires as dangerous.  Please report downed wires immediately to Marlboro Police at 732-536-0100.

I will continue to update you as needed.  Stay safe.

Mayor Jon Hornik
