Tropical Storm Isaias Update #8

Dear Resident,

As of 12:30 this morning, JCP&L is reporting 3,588 customers without power (down from 5,845 last night). Multiple crews assigned to Marlboro today to continue restoration on the distribution lines. I will continue to push to get crews into town until everyone is back on line. Our entire team is working day and night with JCP&L to get power restored as soon as possible.

Altice/Optimum Service – Power must be restored for your home to have service. Even with power restored, there could be other issues impacting internet and cable to your home. To report an outage, please use this form provided by Optimum specifically for Marlboro residents HERE. Optimum will then research the issue and reply to you once they have a response. (Please note Update 7 had an incorrect link. Our apologies).

Verizon/Fios – We have been in contact with our representative who urged customers without service to report their outage by calling 1-800-VERIZON or 800-837-4966. The representative confirmed that if cables are down, Verizon service will be restored following the restoration of power.

The Recreation Center is again open for charging and cooling today from 9am to 4pm. It will remain open until the vast majority of residents have power restored. For residents without public water, a water tank with non-potable water is available at Vanderburg Park (please bring your own containers.) JCP&L continues to offer free ice and water to residents without power at the ShopRite in Aberdeen and Marlboro. Details on these and other services can be found in Update #5 on line and HERE.

Thank you, and we will continue to update you are more information becomes available.
