Dear Resident,

The National Weather Service has placed Monmouth County under a Tropical Storm Warning.  This means that within the next 36 hours we should anticipate winds in excess of 39 mph with potentially significant rainfall.

Marlboro OEM is taking all normal precautionary measures in the event of JCP&L power outages, including preparing intersections, fueling generators and vehicles and filling water supply tanks.

It is important to note that a shift of just 50 miles westward could result in far more serious storm for us, and Marlboro OEM continues to monitor Henriā€™s path accordingly.

Please secure all loose, lightweight outdoor objects, keep electronic devices charged and review the JCP&L Storm preparations FLYER.  We will update you as needed.

For the safety of all, the Marlboro Farmers Market, scheduled for Sunday, has been cancelled.  We look forwarding to seeing you next week.

Stay safe,

Mayor Jon Hornik
