Dear Resident,

We continue to closely monitor  Hurricane Henri. The hurricane is currently classified as a Category (1) One storm and our area is under a Tropical Storm Warning. Marlboro's Office of Emergency Management is in  contact with State and County Agencies.

Please note that due to the storm forecast, the Marlboro Farmers Market is closed on Sunday, August 22.

If you have not done so already please secure loose items outside your home such as lawn decorations and garbage pails.

If trees and/or electrical wires come down, please call the Police Department at (732) 536-0100. Assume all downed wires are live and dangerous.

Periods of heavy rain will be possible from this afternoon continuing through Sunday night due to the close approach of Henri. Rain amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected locally, and higher amounts are possible.

There is a potential of flash flooding in our area. Please do not drive through standing water.

Our Department of Public Works staff are on standby, and our Public Safety Departments are staffed and ready to respond as always.

We will update you as needed. Please keep amd eye on local weather forecasts and stay safe.

 Mayor Jon Hornik
