Weekend Update 

Dear Resident, 

As we head into a holiday weekend, a reminder that Town Hall and the Recycling Center are CLOSED Monday, February 15 in observance of Presidents’ Day.  The drop box in the Town Hall vestibule is accessible 24/7.  As always, the Police are open 24/7 and can be reached by calling 732-536-0100.  Emergencies dial 9-1-1.  

RECYCLING CALENDAR – We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Official Department of Public Works recycling calendar is posted on line and can be found HERE. It will be mailed shortly and can be recognized by its cardstock green, white and red cover. Please do not discard the calendar as it contains important recycling dates and information for the year.  

Brush Collection Postponed Until Further Notice - We remind residents that brush collections are postponed until further notice by Marlboro Office of Emergency Management.  An updated schedule, when determined, will be sent via email and social media.  No brush should be placed curbside until further notice.  Our Recycling Center is open and residents may bring brush and leaves (not commingled) to the recycling center throughout the year as per the published schedule. No permit or fee needed. 

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS – Please note that no Town in NJ has access to the COVID vaccines at this time.  Vaccines are distributed from the Federal Government to the State and directly to pharmacies through the new Federal Pharmacy program.  The state has mega sites, Monmouth County has vaccine site for county residents and there are other locations throughout the state. Please note the following:

  • Review a list of current NJ vaccine eligibility and locations HERE.  Please scroll down to the bottom of the page for statewide vaccine locations.  Locations may require individual registration.  Some sites are available to all residents and some are for county residents only.  The list is updated often, so please check back. 
  • Pre-Register for the Vaccine on the NJ Website – If you have not done so already, pre-register with the State HERE.
  • Monmouth County Vaccine Registration – County Residents who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine should register for the Monmouth County Waitlist. Please note that this is a separate registration from the state and residents should register for both.  Visit the Monmouth County website for more.
  • NJ Vaccine Call Center –NJ opened a call center to help residents with the vaccination process.  The call center can be reached at 855-568-0545 and is available 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. For those residents unable to access a computer, the call center staff can pre-register and will be able to assist in scheduling appointments for those eligible. Please note that the wait times are long and residents should use the state vaccine website whenever possible.   

COVID-19 TESTING IN MARLBORO: The COVID-19 testing trucks will remain the Recreation Center Parking lot until further notice. The testing is done via saliva test, you do not have to be symptomatic and results are emailed in 72 hours. Please review the flyer for dates/times, the QR code to pre-register and what is needed to expedite the process.  There will be no out-of-pocket costs for the test.
