Please be advised that the Township Offices are now closed on Fridays. Hours are Mon. - Thurs., 8:30am - 4:30pm

The Recreation Department will not be affected by the modified hours of operation and will continue to function on a Monday through Friday schedule. Please check your program schedules for dates and times.

 

• Marlboro Police Department presents National Night Out on August 5 from 6 -10pm in the Shop Rite parking lot. This police/community partnership, crime prevention and camaraderie event will feature the Marines, SWAT and first responders. Food, bounce houses, and a showing of Disney's 'Frozen' at 8pm. DEP Black Bears News Release

• The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) is scheduled to resume work on the Upper Level Deck Replacement Project beginning Monday June 16, 2014. Please see the Press Release for additional information and for ways to receive construction updates.

Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Releases Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

• NJ Office of homeland Security (OHSP) has a free 'SAFE-NJ' App to instantly report suspicious activity in NJ and surrounding states as a part of its "If You See something, Say Something" campaign. Please see the OHSP letter for more information.

• NJ Departments of Health and Environmental Protection urge  all NJ residents to test their home for radon. More information can be found on the letter from the State Department of Health.

• The Marlboro Police Department issued a press release updating the public regarding the identification of individuals responsible for several burglaries throughout the Township.  The official press release may be found on the Marlboro Township Police Department website www.marlboropd.org or by clicking here

• The Marlboro Township Police Department wants you to be aware that they have received inquiries concerning two types of fraudulent calls.

Please be advised that the July 31 meeting of the Open Space/Agricultural Advisory Committee has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting will be August 28, 2014 at 7:30pm.


Please be advised that the scheduled meeting of the Affordable Housing/Rent Control Board has been cancelled for July 15, 2014. The next scheduled meeting will be August 19, 2014@ 7:00


Pet licenses are required for each calendar year. Beginning July 1 all pets not licensed will be subject to a $50 fine and possible court appearance in addition to the licensing fee. Please pay your licensing fees and avoid the fine. Final Notice and pet license application are HERE.

Dear Marlboro Resident:
We are very lucky to have two First Aid Squads that provide free emergency services for our Town. The Marlboro and Morganville First Aid & Rescue Squads are made up entirely of volunteers that are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While we hope we never need their services, they provide a critical resource when we do. Their flyer with donation instructions is attached. I hope that you will answer their call and make a tax deductible donation to the First Aid & Rescue Squad that serves your home.

The Marlboro Township Council is seeking interested citizens to volunteer and serve on the Zoning Board to fill one vacancy as Alternate #2, term expiring Dec. 31, 2015. To be considered, please complete the Citizen Leadership form on page 2 of the attached and submit with a resume to the Township Clerk no later than May 1, 2014. The Marlboro Police Department is recruiting volunteers to serve on the Township Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT).  Training is provided and civilians work with Marlboro Law Enforcement.  For additional information, please see the flyer or call (732) 536-0100 x1685.

Effective immediately the speed limit on Route 79 between Wyncrest and Ridge Roads is reduced to 45mph in both directions.  The council adopted this resolution in response to resident safety concerns. Signs are now posted.
