Lloyd Road Water Main Replacement Project

The Marlboro Township Water Utility Division will be performing improvements to the Water Distribution System to ensure the continued reliable supply of potable water to its customers.  A Project will begin on or about April 5, 2023 to replace the water main along Lloyd Road between Route 79 and the Aberdeen Township border.  The project generally consists of full water main replacement including all applicable valves and fire hydrants.  The Project is anticipated to be completed in approximately 120 days.  During this time, there may be temporary interruptions to traffic along Lloyd Road. 

Route 79 – Beginning this evening, expect alternate lane closures and possible detours at the Route 79 and Lloyd Road intersection (near QuickChek and CVS) beginning at 9pm and during the overnight hours over the next several days.  All businesses will remain open and accessible during this time.  Police Officers will be on site to direct motorists as the water main project commences.

The State Department of Transportation will be paving portions of Route 79 during the overnight hours. The road should remain open with alternating lanes at times.  Please obey traffic directions.
