Travel Summer Camp is back and on-line registration opens Tuesday, February 27 at 7pm. Please do not delay as this popular camp program fills up quickly. Please see ‘Programs’ below for more.

PUBLIC NOTICES
Brush Collection to Resume by Zone – We are pleased to announce brush collection will resume by zone. Please see the letter send by DPW HERE. We ask that you follow the regulations to ensure our roads stay safe and clear for pedestrians and vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation.
2024 Recycling Calendar – The calendar has been mailed to all homes and is posted on the Township website and linked HERE.
Greenwood Road Closed - The Monmouth County Road Department has advised that Greenwood Road will be CLOSED in the area of Ticetown Road for emergency bridge repairs for up to two weeks. A detour will be in place and Police Officers will be on site to assist motorists. Please direct questions to Marlboro Division of Traffic and Safety at 732-536-0304. DETOUR MAP
Route 9 Transit Update – NJ Transit is asking for interested parties to share your bus experiences and other improvements you would like for the Route 9 corridor. The survey closes on 2/29/24. On-Line Survey HERE.

Travel Summer Camp – On-line registration opens on February 27 at 7pm. We strongly recommend you check your Community Pass account before registration opens. You may not be able to register your child(ren) for camp if information is incorrect or missing. Check each child's current grade, birthday and other pertinent information for accuracy. Please be sure you know your user name, password and camper's t-shirt size.

Marlboro Community Garden is accepting applications for the 2024 season. Please visit https://marlboro-nj.gov/community-garden . Read the Policies and Rules, scroll down, complete the application and click ‘submit’. The garden manager will contact you with the dates and times of orientation sessions for new participants.

PUBLIC SAFETY – UPDATE
Lithium-ion Battery Safety – These batteries supply power to many home devices and, if not used correctly, can catch on fire or explode. They should be recycled, not placed in the trash. Locations HERE. Our Fire Officials ask residents to review the FLYER to keep your home and family safe.
DVRT –Volunteer Advocates are civilian members of the community who work collaboratively with law enforcement to provide confidential support to survivors of domestic violence. FLYER
Emergency Preparedness NJ Register Ready – You (or someone on your behalf) should register if you may find it difficult to get to safety during an emergency situation due to health or transportation barriers. Register by printing, completing and mailing the form HERE, call 211 and register by phone or visit the website HERE and complete the form on line. The information is only accessible to emergency management and first responders.

Message from the Office of Chief Pezzullo - As always, lock your car doors, take the key fobs inside, remove garage door openers, lock your house doors/windows and set alarms. Do not leave your keys easily visible/accessible. If you see anything out of place or suspicious call the police at 732-536-0100. For crimes in progress dial 911. Pet Licensing Portal Open – Licensing your dogs and cats annually is required by state and town regulations. The rabies vaccine must be current at the time of application. On line and mail-in information HERE.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Marlboro Home Improvement Program – If you live in Marlboro, own your home and your total gross household income is within limits (you are not required to live in affordable housing) you may be eligible for up to $20,000 in repairs for items such as heating/electrical, roofs, plumbing, weatherization and more. For income limits and contact information see FLYER.
Commuter Parking Renewals: The 2024-2025 commuter parking permit renewal period for Marlboro Township's commuter parking lots is now open. Renewals must be completed on-line via the Township’s SDL Portal, on or before March 31, 2024. Paper applications are no longer accepted. Hometown Heroes Banner – Marlboro Veterans and Volunteers Committee announces Honor Hometown Hero banners. Heroes can include past and resent Armed Forces personnel and First Responders. FLYER
COVID-19 Ratepayer Measures provide relief to ratepayers experiencing economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic. The NJ Department of Community Affairs has developed a low income household water assistance program. Please review the letter from the Marlboro Water Utility HERE.
